page has been a magical journey through time -- from the days of
Shakespeare through the Revolution, the Civil War, the Second World
War -- and space -- from the lush volcano craters of Hawaii to the
vibrant cities, from the regal saguaro of the southwest to the
gracious old homes of the South, from the tropical beauty of Florida
to the vistas of the Dakotas and Montana. And the colors are
the most magical part of all -- greens everywhere with enough colors
for hundreds of dazzling rainbows. The miracle is that journey
has been on the wings of a transport as fleeting as flowers.
