- Richmond, the "Rose City",
began the lovely All America Rose Selections Garden in 1985. The garden, a
melding of European and Victorian design, will eventually exhibit 2,000 roses
with annuals, perennials, evergreens and ornamental trees. The Park also
features two other rose gardens, the Hill Memorial Garden and a newer Friendship
Garden, resulting from Richmond's friendship with the Zweibruken, Germany. The
Friendship Garden is of German design and features roses that were gifts from
the Europas Rosegarten in Zweibruken.

flowering trees and shrubs), the Allee with an elegant fountain, the Border

plants that are named in the Bible that are hardy enough to survive in the

Grape Arbor, and the Gathering site.
